PAPER SCULPTURE COLLAGE
We are all so quick to judge. To assume. To come to our own conclusions. When we look at someone we think we know who they are or assume that they have it all together. But that’s not always the case. Through paper sculpture collage, this series of portraits reveals what’s really inside. I create paper sculptures that are twisted, torn, crumpled, and distorted. They are photographed and collaged together to create an abstract expression–bringing to life identities that might otherwise be hidden or repressed. Life is messy and imperfect, but it still can reflect beauty. Each person’s personalities, fears, desires, and radiance are in bloom and on full display.
I release the finished pieces in editions. Limited to 3 in premiere HD Acrylic and 12 on Giclée archival fine art paper (On occasion I’ll add a special edition with embellishments.)
